Sustainable Development is now recognized as the only way in which countries and communities can progress and thrive. As industry is one of the main drivers for development, engineers are responsible for maintaining sustainability in this important sector. The objective of this conference is to provide a forum to exchange ideas and to explore the recent trends in engineering solutions for sustainable development.

The "International Conference on Engineering Solutions for Sustainable Development (ICESSD)" will be held on the new campus of the American University in Cairo, Egypt, next 17-18 Apr. 2010.
